Everything you need to know about earning with Ping
Install the Ping plugin with: claude plugin install ping@ping-plugins (first-timers: add the marketplace first with claude plugin marketplace add https://github.com/ping-money/claude-plugin). Restart Claude Code, then type /ping:start or just say "ping". Login with GitHub when prompted - that's it!
Earnings are paid in USDC (a stablecoin pegged 1:1 to USD) on Base, a fast and cheap Ethereum L2 network. When you login with GitHub, we create a wallet for you automatically. After answering questions, just say "claim my ping earnings" and your USDC is sent to your wallet instantly.
Questions range from tech preferences (tabs vs spaces, favorite language) to workflow tips, debugging approaches, and career advice. Each question shows its reward upfront - typically $0.10 to $0.50 per answer. New questions are added regularly.
Answers go through AI quality review to ensure they're thoughtful and relevant. Low-effort responses (like single words or off-topic answers) are rejected. Suggested answers from the UI are pre-approved for instant submission. The goal is quality over quantity.
USDC (USD Coin) is a stablecoin - a cryptocurrency that's always worth $1 USD. It's issued by Circle and fully backed by cash reserves. Unlike volatile cryptocurrencies, your earnings maintain stable dollar value. You can exchange USDC for regular dollars on any major exchange.
Base is an Ethereum Layer 2 network built by Coinbase. It offers the security of Ethereum with much lower transaction fees (pennies instead of dollars) and faster confirmations. This means more of your earnings go to you, not gas fees.
No minimum withdrawal. You can claim any amount of pending earnings at any time. Just say "claim my ping earnings" in Claude Code and your USDC is sent immediately. The transaction typically confirms within seconds on Base.
After answering questions, say "claim my ping earnings" or "withdraw my balance" in Claude Code. The MCP server will trigger an on-chain transaction to send your USDC. You'll get a transaction hash and link to view it on Basescan.
